vintage Union Tool Co protractor head for 12" combination square old machinist

Here is a nice old protractor head for a 12" combination square marked Union Tool Co.,  in good usable condition.  The tool has nearly 95% black finish and works as it should.  The hold down screw has a good nib and the often missing tension spring.
Should tune up to be a good user and provide years of good service.
A top quality tool by a known maker ready to be brought back to life!

I know a little about a lot of different things but I am not an expert on anything and do the best of my ability to show the condition of these items.  If you are an expert on something I am selling and know this spring is always missing or that part is always cracked please let me know before you bid because it doesn't help either of us to not share right?
