VINTAGE HENRY DISSTON & SONS No 1 CARPENTERS SQUARE 18"

Description

This is a Henry Disston & Sons No. 1 carpenters square 18" long made in the USA.
The wood handle shows dings and chips commensurate with its' age.
The letters "E S" have been stamped into one side of the handle.
On the inside brass edge there is a removable pin about half way down, the purpose of which is ????
