Description
This is a used greeting card featuring The Rolling Stones that was sent to the US from the UK in the late 1980s.It is from the Hollywood Icons Signature Collection. www.hollywoodicons.co.uk
It was printed in England.
The back reads (literally):
Rolling Stones 1962 -
Childhood friends Mick Jagger and Keith Richards along with Bill Wyman, Brian Jones, and Charlie Watts
(died 8/24/21)
got together as the Rolling Stones in January 1962. Their first album being released in 1964...with no title, just a portrait of the band on the cover. The 1st major personnel change came in 1969 when Brian Jones was "sacked" & subsequently died just a few weeks later. Probably....if not the most famous, the band with the most longevity in the world...and still playing worldwide sell-out tours.
The picture appears to be from 1963, since after that, Keith Richards hair was much longer.
The card is 6-1/4 inches square.
There is some bending on the top.
Inside there is a personal inscription on the right, and some of the pen can be seen on the left as well.
The cover looks like a great piece of memorabilia for Rolling Stones fans.
