Circa 1920s-1940s. Mostly natural wool colors + tiny touches of aniline red on the chicken’s combs. Likely from the Crystal region, with prayer feather motifs forming the center of four cross motifs. The cross motifs themselves are located inside Spiderwoman cross motifs which are the exterior crosses that have two small square motifs at the end of each crossbar, totaling eight legs per cross thus representing Spiderwoman. Damage is significant yet it can be restored for a lot less than it would cost to buy a similar example in Santa Fe where top galleries might be charging ,500-,500 or more for a good condition early pictorial of this size. This rug needs to be professionally repaired.
