    The Republican Scientific and Practical Centre of Oncology and Medical Radiology named after N. N.  Alexandrov, known as N. N.  Alexandrov National Cancer Centre, is the leading oncological and the largest medical institution in Belarus.
    It was founded in 1959 as the Research Institute of Oncology and Medical Radiology of the Ministry of Health of the BSSR.
    It was one of the largest cancer centres in the former Soviet Union. In 1977 and 1978 it was recognized as the best institution among oncological institutes of the USSR.
    It was the winner of the international award "European quality" (2009) and the prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For the spiritual revival" (2017).
    It was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus (2008); it was recognized as the best healthcare organization in the republic (2017) and it received the award of the USA National Cancer Institute and the Global Health Centre (2018).
